I missed you!

Photobucket
I apologize for falling off the face of the earth this past week or so.  I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled, and have since been in a painkiller-induced stupor surviving only on applesauce and tea.  This experience isn't what I was expecting.  I wasn't allowed to have any dairy!  All I wanted was a milkshake, but no. And I have to stick to soft foods until my follow-up appointment, which isn't until next week! Oh, the humanity!  This is what happens when I have a drill sergeant of an oral surgeon.

How have you all been?  I'd love to hear what is happening if your lives!

xxo,
Melina

Hope your mouth is recovering well! Oh, the horror stories I could tell about having my wisdom teeth pulled. (Long story short, they got infected and it was disgusting/awful.)

Hang in there!

I loved peanutbutter milkshakes when I got my wisdom teeth out. I see you're reading "A Moveable Feast"! Did you decide on Paris?!

Sorry to hear about your current situation. I had my wisdom teeth out (all four, by an oral surgeon) a few years ago. It was HELL. You see theres this little thing called "dry socket". You want to avoid it like the plague. Curing it involves multiple check ups with the dr. and filling the empty pockets that now reside in your mouth with these god awful clover tasting strips. Hope the rest of your healing process goes as quickly and painlessly as possible. PS I've found that eating ice cream, jello, and pudding kind of make up for the inconvenience of it all !!

I became an aunt today! For the first time!

I didn't know about the no dairy thing when I got my wisdom teeth out. The first thing I had was a milkshake (fed by spoon, not straw). I recovered quickly, no problems. Hope it goes quickly for you!

Oh dear! I remember when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Not a pretty sight at all. I ate bread and apple sauce for days. Hope you're feeling better and you have a speedy recovery. I've just been toiling away at school work as usual.

Alyssa: Thank you for the blog award, it's my first! I couldn't be more excited!

Charlotte: Oh my goodness, congratulations on being an Auntie!! I am secretly that my brother will have a kid so I can be an Aunt, as well. I hope to see pictures posted on your blog :)

Allie: I decided to try to do both the London and Paris programs. After reading everyone's comments, I realized that I might as well try to do both as this is such a great opportunity! Hopefully I'll get enough financial aid. If not, then I will choose Paris. I'm reading "A Moveable Feast" to prepare myself for Paris :)
