It's grey and rainy in Seattle today, so I am inclined to dress in many dark layers. Now all I need are fake glasses, to complete the look.
I'm curious, are fake glasses tacky or chic? I've been obsessed with glasses ever since I could remember, but alas I have great vision. I guess the grass is always greener.
I'm anxious to hear your thoughts!

well, I have ambivalent feelings about fake glasses. I have one pair, but I feel whole fake when I wear them. But I look ok, even great as I heard, but inside I feel this is not true. So I don't wear them (I had them only once at work). I also have a great vision, which is of course fabulous thing in fact. :)

I am right there with you with fake glasses. I have great vision and have not needed them but always wanted them. However I've not yet bought a pair- maybe it's best not to jinx your vision?! Oh I don't know- everytime I go into a store that has fake glasses I have to try them on. Think you may have spurred me on to actually purchase a pair and just go for it!!!

Some people can pull off the fake glasses. I have horrible vision so my glasses aren't so cute. I'd much rather have the option to wear cute fake ones that thick real ones.

I think fake glasses are usually tacky, but maybe that's just jealousy speaking since I can't pull off glasses, no matter how much I want to.
I don't wear glasses, but would love to though I do worry they might be tacky. (Let me know what the final vote is, will you?) And it's been grey here in San Diego too -- and sometimes so foggy you can hardly see in front of you.
this makes me giggles because I have great vision but an obsessed with glasses as well. I finally "convinced" the eye doctor that I needed reading glasses (what I really was having headaches when I read for long long long periods of time) and I sometimes wear them just because.
just do it. it's fun. and who cares if people think it's tacky. they make you happy. do it!
Style is style, period. If you find a (fake) pair you love and rock them with confidence, they'll look great :)
Hannah: I'm so glad that I am not the only one who is obsessed with glasses! My mom used to take out the lenses of her old glasses and let me just wear the frames, I have been hooked since then. I too tried to convince my eye doctor that I needed glasses, but he just said read in a well lit area and keep the book further from my face. Fail. One day I'll get them!
Amber: I have yet to buy fake glasses because all my friends know that I don't need them, and they think I'm odd enough with being obsessed with them. My solution is to make new friends who don't know that I have great vision :) Bam! Problem solved.
