Happy Spring!

PhotobucketPhotobucket
Though you can't tell from the weather here in Seattle, it is officially Spring today!

To kick off the new season, my roommate and I played tourist and went down to Pike Place Market to buy a new bouquet of daffodils with cherry blossoms.   This sounded like a great idea, but the bus ride back to our apartment was quite difficult as the cherry blossom branches kept hitting my fellow passengers.  Imagine that scene from Julie & Julia where Julie takes the subway with her collection of decorative branches.  My experience was similar to that.

What are you doing to welcome in Spring?

xoxo,
Melina

Note:  These are not my pictures, unfortunately I forgot my camera.  I guess I wasn't that convincing as a tourist :)

Daffodils are my favorite flower - I can't wait for them to pop up!

Also, I read "Little Bee" - how are you enjoying it? It was one of my favorite books of 2010.

Ugh, it's been FOREVER since I've been to the market! I have been craving those mini donuts though...perhaps a trip this weekend is in order? I am totally loving the little snippets of sun that keep peeking through the clouds.

ha, that story made me giggle. Though I am especially giggly these days, as it's spring and therefore the best time of the year! :)
