A Light Obsession

I am mildy obsessed with these Edison bulb hanging light fixtures.  There is something about those exposed light bulbs that make them seem so ethereal, especially in the first and last photos.  I love how they just look like they're floating around the room.

One of the things I want to do in life is open my own cafe, and I've already decided to have a dining room with these kinds of light fixtures.  And, once I am allowed to change the lighting in my next apartment, I'll think about getting this put it.  I may have to wait for the cafe though, totally worth it!

What do you think of these?

P.S. I'm sorry the first picture is so tiny

The fourth picture's lighting is gorgeous. I've seen much more of these free hanging lightbulbs lately -- I love them! It reminds me of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwGgDdP67p8 (except the lights aren't hanging!)

I like it very much because it's different! I live near Edison's labs so I hear his name everywhere. It looks cool I think and chic!

Melina, these are beautiful. I really like when lighting is done well. And that cafe in the last picture? I'm going to start saving so I can have something just like it.

I love rooms that let light in and I agree those light bulbs would be lovely in a cafe.

Jessica: Thanks for the link! Unfortunately youtube wont let me view it because it's blocked in the country on copyright grounds :(

I have been aching to find a basket, so I can have Mr. Whimsy make me one of these.
