Foodography

Today is a good day. One of my favorite people always answers this when I ask him how he is. Why is today a good day, you ask? I found out that Helene Dujardin from Tartlette has published her book Foodography: Digital Food Photography & Styling! If you have as huge of a girl crush on Helene as I do, or you want to learn all the insider secrets of food photography and styling, I'd recommend you check this book out.

I want to start documenting some of the meals I'm proud of so I'm excited to get this book when it is released in May. Until then, we can repeatedly watch this behind the scenes video of her work, and drool over her recipes and gorgeous photographs. Doesn't she have the best job?!

xoxo,
Melina

P.S. For those wondering, the song is "Comptine D'Un Autre L'Apres Midi" from none other than Yann Tiersen. You might recognize this song from Amelie.

Everything looks just delectable. Especially, for some reason, that radish and avocado sandwich?! WOw!

This looks so fantastic! My mom is such a great cook, but I can't seem to catch her magic. I can get close if I follow her recipe exactly, but not quite as amazing.

I'm definitely drooling. Thanks for sharing.

P.S. - Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog about snails. Just so you know, I ended up buying one :-) His name is Marlon. He's kinda my pride and joy.

And jenny&tyler are amazing. please just love them forever.

So, you live in Seattle and that basically makes me cry my eyes out in envy. I also see you are an art history major like me. I plan on moving to Seattle in January to go to a school for interior design there. Then i can wear hunter boots every day of my life.
