Yesterday in Photography, my professor had us watch a few TED talks. If you haven't been to TED I suggest you do. There are thousands of talks on pretty much everything, and as a person who isn't one to listen to lecturers I still highly recommend it. Of the three videos watched, my absolute favorite was by Brazilian-born and Brooklyn-based artist Vik Muniz. You may recognize his work from some blogs, but I could not stop looking at his online gallery after class. Muniz uses untraditional materials (thread, cotton, peanut butter, sugar, chocolate, etc.)to create portraits, landscapes and other fine art work.

If you happen to have an extra fifteen minutes in your fabulous lives you should watch this. Not only does he have an amazing accent, but he is absolutely hilarious!

What do you think of his work?
